Venice films come to Rome
10 - 16 September. Rome celebrates the 69th edition of the Venice Film Festival with a parallel event titled 'From Venice to Rome'. Over the course of a week, film lovers in the capital are treated to previews of a cross section of Venice films, all screened in their original language with Italian subtitles.
There are eight cinemas taking part in the initiative which has run for 18 years and is organised by the ministry of culture and communications, the city of Rome and Anec Lazio, the regional branch of the Italian association of cinema owners. The Adriano, Alcazar, Barberini, Eden, Giulio Cesare, Mignon, Quattro Fontane and Savoy cinemas often show films in English, and are located in districts across Rome.
