In Sleeping Beauty, choreography by K.Bogoeva/M. Zaharieva. The Sofia Ballet, the first private Bulgarian ballet company, was created by the union of the soloists of Sofia National Ballet specifically to tour abroad. The dancers were selected from all Bulgarian ballet companies and from the National School of Dance in Sofia. Costumes and scenery are those of the Bulgarian theatres or specially created for ongoing projects. Since its formation, directors of the company have laid out its aim to synthesise the classical Russian school and German free dance expression.
