For the sixth year running Vienna plays host to the international Accordion Festival at a number of different locations around the city, such as the Porgy and Bess Jazz Club and Planet Music. The festival draws a high pedigree of international talent, including 100 of the top purveyors of the unique accordion sound in a veritable wealth of styles, including punk pock, folk music, classical and even Latin-style tango. Performers from France, Austria, Finland, Brazil, Madagascar, Poland and many other countries are scheduled. A full concert programme for 2005 is available at the official web site. Tickets cost between 18 and 25 with discounts if you book in advance. Passes are also available. Doors open at 19.00 with first performances starting at 20.00.
