9 June-9 Sept 2006. Europes longest festival is also one of the citys most pleasant and successful events. This year much attention is given to Italian jazz with the presence of artists such as Enrico Rava, Stefano Bollani, Flavio Boltro, Danilo Rea. But the programme also boasts a handful of concerts by international stars such as Varttina (13 July), Mike Stern (16 July), Markus Miller (19 July), Sarah Jane Morris (22 July), Jason Marsalis (7 Aug) and George Garzone (11, 12 Aug 2006).
