La Vittoria
Old fashioned restaurant located on Via delle Fornaci, literally across the road from St Peter's Square.
Its proximity to the Vatican also means it is quite likely that a bishop or cardinal could be at the next table.
The menu is extensive and includes meat, fish, pasta and pizza. Among its specialities are the Fettuccine alla Vittoria, made with salmon and porcini, and it has a wide range of desserts which are best selected in person, with advice from the restaurant's friendly waiters.
