Taverna Cestia
Elegant restaurant in the shadow of the Piramide Cestia monument, where the districts of Aventino, Testaccio and Ostiense converge.
The venue, which has outdoor seating during the warmer months of the year, is best known for its fish dishes as well as traditional Roman fare, such as the homemade gnocchi (Thursdays) and carciofi alla romana.
It also offers a good range of pizza and a "low cost" lunch option from Tuesday to Friday. Monday closed.
