The Italian School of Rome

The Italian School of Rome is located in the historical city center of the “eternal city” a few steps away from its main monuments and tourist sites. Its central location, hosted in the gorgeous 16th-century palace, “Palazzo Firenze”, allows students to experience an authentic cultural and artistic experience in the heart of the Capital of Italy.

The School offers courses of Italian language in accordance with the six levels laid out in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR): Pre-Beginner/Beginner (A1); Elementary (A2); Intermediate (B1); Upper-Intermediate (B2); Advanced (C1); Proficient (C2).

Before the beginning of the course all students are expected to take a placement test to assess their linguistic level. The educational approach is flexible and aims at the development of both linguistic skills (listening, reading, speaking/interacting, and writing) and knowledge of the Italian social and cultural environment. The objective is to provide students with the skills necessary to enable their rapid and efficient participation in the Italian social, professional or academic arena.

Intensive and standard courses, individual lessons, courses for companies and Skype lessons are taught by highly-qualified teachers in a friendly, dynamic and welcoming atmosphere.

Details related to the courses offered, enrollment procedure and tuition fees, accommodation support through local partners are available in the official web site: www.scuoleditaliano.it/roma where you may also test your level of Italian, find out promotions and interesting facts about Italy and Italian language!

The School is also a PLIDA official certification center and provides preparatory courses and exam simulations. The PLIDA Certificate allows its holder to indicate his/her Italian language knowledge in the most transparent way on his/her curriculum vitae, enroll in an Italian university without having to take the Italian language exam and obtain the residency permit or the long-term residency permit.

The certificate of enrolment issued by the School may be useful in the process of obtaining a student visa and the renewal of a residency permit.

If you wish to enroll for more than 2 months contact the School office to benefit from the promotional rates on long-term courses.
